| 173672 | 2003-09-07 21:41:00 | when starting my computer I hear the hard drive power up, but half way through booting xp (xp startup screen just before user logon screen) the hard drive powers down then powers up again about 5 seconds later. I know that causing the hard drive to power up more than necessary shortens it's lifespan, I have disabled hdd power down suspend/standby in windows and the bios this didn't work and I can't think of anything else wondering if anyone has any ideas -thanks |
