173848 2003-09-08 05:10:00 Just got a new laptop with xp home on it, and have found that windows explorer does not have the address bar up the top (the part that says exactly where you are). I have tried right clicking on the tool area and selecting and deslecting the toolbar option to no avail!

anybody else has any ideas?

173849 2003-09-08 06:36:00 In a folder go to Tools menu -> folder options -> View tab. -> tick 'Display the full path in the address bar'.

Then apply the settings then click 'apply to all folders'

Cheers

173850 2003-09-08 06:38:00 You may have to disable "Lock the toolbars" option first. tommy (2826)
173851 2003-09-08 06:40:00 Have you tried tools-folder options and seeing what you want in there? Pheonix (280)
173852 2003-09-08 06:51:00 Tommy is correct, you need to right-click on the toolbar and remove the tick from beside "lock the toolbars", then play around with the resizing until you have the address bar showing. Jen C (20)

whats avant browser?

also on my win 2k desktop I can preview my mp3 files by playing them in a "preview pane" on the left hand side, there isn't any "preview pane" on the left hand side of the screen on the laptop on the laptop, only the different task menus.

does anyone know how to have this working?
is it s windows media player configuration instead of windows explorer?
