| 173566 | 2003-09-07 04:23:00 | In windows XP home addition I downloaded the latest version of Direct X version 9b. Accessing the diagnostic tool I get the following message: "Hardware accelerated direct 3d 9+ is not available because the display driver does not support it. You may be able to get a newer driver from the hardware manufacturer." Can anybody please tell me what this is all about and how do I find out if my machine has got a hardware accelerator and what exactly is such a beast. Thanks in advance................heaton |

| 173573 | 2003-09-08 00:00:00 | On the desktop right-click on My Computer, go Properties, Hardware, Device Manager, click on the + next to Display Adaptor, and under that will be your video card type. Go to the manufacturers website and look for their drivers downloads - often somewhere under their support pages. Make sure you get the latest and correct driver for your card | Greg S (201) | ||
