| 173502 | 2003-09-07 02:37:00 | My Win2k system has a Dick Smith HaM modem and when I connect it won't disconnect. So I click disconnect and walk away or go play a game without noticing and it hold up the phone line. Wass goin on??:| |

| 173503 | 2003-09-07 03:09:00 | Could be incorrect drivers, a broken relay that opens/closes the line, a short in the cable connection, faulty power regulation.. loads of things. Unplug and re-seat the phone cable. Update the driver. Disconnect other telephony devices from the line and try with them disconnected (can cause voltage/current differences on the line). Return to DSE for refund. |

| 173504 | 2003-09-07 03:14:00 | Oh, I did forget to mention... If you do return it, rather than get the same modem again, throw a bit more money at it and buy something a bit higher end. Those HaM modems are the cheapest of the cheap and perform as such. |
