| 173953 | 2003-09-08 20:25:00 | without connecting to paradise first.Win XP.Got the pc on-line,but have to connect first then start up IE6 or Outlook Ex.Otherwise they just sit there and say there is no connection.How do I get them to bring up the connect screen? I think I'll tackle the administrator thing later!She's got heaps of Win updates to download!Got all Norton's before we went on the net. |

| 173955 | 2003-09-08 21:43:00 | How are you connecting. Dialup via modem, DSL via ??, cable? When do you want a connection present. For eg, with IE on DSL, I had it set to never dial a connection because I was connected anyway and didn't want it dialing out without me confirming it (use Mozilla now). If its dialup you can put a shortcut on your destop and connect through that independent of apps that like to dial for you. Cheers Murray P |
