2003-09-08 20:25:00 without connecting to paradise first.Win XP.Got the pc on-line,but have to connect first then start up IE6 or Outlook Ex.Otherwise they just sit there and say there is no connection. How do I get them to bring up the connect screen?
I think I'll tackle the administrator thing later! She's got heaps of Win updates to download!Got all Norton's before we went on the net.

2003-09-08 21:28:00 I think what you are looking for is under IE tools-internet options-connections. There make sure either always dial my connection is ticked. Pheonix (280)
2003-09-08 21:43:00 How are you connecting. Dialup via modem, DSL via ??, cable? When do you want a connection present. For eg, with IE on DSL, I had it set to never dial a connection because I was connected anyway and didn't want it dialing out without me confirming it (use Mozilla now). If its dialup you can put a shortcut on your destop and connect through that independent of apps that like to dial for you.

2003-09-09 05:53:00 Thanks Pheonix,I'll get her to check that. And Murray thanks too. It's dialup, and I've already put a shortcut on her screen so she can get connected first.I've got mine like that so I can update programs without starting up IE or OE.Well Mailwasher does it first anyhow.
