| 173899 | 2003-09-08 06:11:00 | Hi, Since Saturday night, I am able to connect to the Internet using my desktop PC, and the connection doesn't drop, but I can't download anything, I can't use yahoo or msn messenger and when i try and open internet explorer and outlook express i get an error message and my OE times out. However I don't have these problems when i use my laptop.. thanks in advance. Nour |

I think you are running Windows 2000, and this is vulnerable if you have not applied the recommended update patches. There is a ton of info available re fixing the problem, from sites such as this (us.mcafee.com) Install a firewall (Kerio, or Zone Alarm are both free) and patch your system by going to the Microsoft Windows Update site. |
