1322611 2013-01-15 08:04:00 IDC and Gartner report (www.engadget.com) declining PC globals shipments. But of course destops are still prevalent, being useful for cetain tasks. Though I guess desktop use could be higher (relative to any researched official sales) due to customization of components to produce a desktop, utilizing multiple virtual desktops or a extended/upgraded lifecycle of earlier desktops. kahawai chaser (3545)

And still will be for at least another 2 or 3 years.

Chances are high AMD will not be around that long.
Global Foundries has been a massive failure so far, and most chips are still made by TSMC.

Global Foundries will most likely be ruined by the end of the year.

It was only AMD's competiton in the late 90's that brought the price of cpus down.
I have always bought AMD

But yes I suppose they have always made less money than AMD.

1322619 2013-01-16 21:16:00 I hope Intel don't ditch LGA. It spoils the fun of building a computer! ChazTheGeek (16619)
