1322091 2013-01-10 05:05:00 OMG, that is an awful lot of souls to have made if there is no reincarnation.

Everything else in nature is recycled so why not recycle souls? If that were the case, heaven would not be as full as you might have thought.

1322092 2013-01-10 07:17:00 Ever noticed that people who are taught to believe in God as children tend to always at least partially believe and those that aren't seldom become religious as adults?
I'm a firm believer that religion should not be taught prior to age 20, where people can then make their own decisions rather than being indoctrinated.
It'll never happen of course, religion has too much to lose and people are well aware how gullible children are.

There is no proof God exists and there is no way to prove he does not, in the end you have to chose whether to believe or not because you're never going to get the evidence. Same goes for reincarnation etc.

Not sure on that I know plenty of people brought into church as children who categorically do Not believe in all this nonsense. Myself included, I always had unanswerable questions and when they finally answered with you just have to believe, I knew they were wrong

1322098 2013-01-10 22:35:00 Interesting convo developed by the question of reincarnation.

Not sure about reincarnation myself, there is no solid evidence of the fact therefore I don't buy into it, however I don't disrespect others believing in it.

Don't believe in there being a superior benevolent being busy making this world a better place and bent on forgiveness. If he exists is making a meal of this world's situation and allowing kids to die from the most horrible causes. A loser on all fronts.

The person named Jesus did exist in my view and was a remarkable figure of his times. He was the son of someone, not sure about the son of a being that does not exist.

Now, the ET's, Aliens, EBE's etc. There is much contextual evidence out there to make me believe that in this universe we are not alone. To presume we are the only life form to have developed is, at least, shortsighted. Again, whether these a re benevolent, malevolent or just using us as their sandbox is another matter altogether. No, I am not a alien nutter myself, but I do believe that the mind is like a parachute and only works when open.;)

1322100 2013-01-10 23:07:00 It's not the falling that's the problem, it's the sudden collision with the ground at high speed that's the real issue ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
