TV shows will often make reference to the date rape drug ryphenol (spelling?) aka roofies as a normal item for any outing, and we have these concerns here in NZ about drink spiking. The worry isn't the effect of these drugs, the worry is the intent of the person carrying these drugs. They need to be given a very dim view if found with these 'rape tools'. | Paul.Cov (425) | ||

Ethnicity is not the issue. Where are the protesters in this forum voicing against the multiple despicable rape of the unfortunate Indian girl. And yet another incidence in the last 12 hours. Yes those were in a far away land, but we should be just as concerned. Let's focus on the crime itself and address those issues. Leave ethnicity aside and let's not drag other otherwise undeserving innocent peoples down. :mad: But if there were only Europeans here, there would be very few of these cases to worry about. And what normal person wants to rape a 60 year old woman. |

It will be a great day when we can discuss this stuff openly and honestly. At this stage we are at the same position child abuse was decades ago, not discussed and was swept under the carpet. Take the news its not uncommon for all the lead items involving death destruction and abuse involving only non european people. Its not right and it cant continue. |

I take it you're saying similar offences by Europeans go unreported (by media)? If you are, then I'm behind you. All the media is doing is reinforcing an already negative attitude. It's not fair on those of the same ethnicity who are good neighbours and citizens, to be tarred with the same brush. |

| 1321852 | 2013-01-09 22:56:00 | And you don't?? In 2010 NZ had 1129 rape cases as against Aussie with 1828 or put another way that is 25.8 per 100,000 as against 8.1. I am still looking but I would think the difference between Maori and other New Zealanders as perpetrators would be negligible. |
