1346851 2013-06-25 09:26:00 Check the time stamps in the 'received' headers - that will tell you where any delivery delays are happening.
From one of the delayed mails for a start.

Also a session transcript of a retrieve from the server that 'misses' some mail could shed some light.

1346852 2013-06-25 11:47:00 I think this is what you are after.

Note teh Sent is Wednesday and the email itself is dated 19th June (Wednesday)

You can see from the side bar that I received this yesterday (Monday 24th)

I check my emails multiple times a day so there is no way I could have missed this and many others, they downloaded from the server almost a week late.

If this is not what you mean then please explain further with instructions on how to get the information you want.

I have enabled the logging as per your link.

1346853 2013-06-25 11:58:00 The Sent: field displayed is typically written by the source client application when the mail is created and is not necessarily relavent to when the message was actually transmitted, or relayed by any of the servers in the path to you.

You need to look at the "raw view" to see the actual headers of the message.
It's been a long time since a used an Outlook, but this (superuser.com) is purportedly for 2010.

There will be several "Recieved:" lines, with the most recent at the top, showing what servers it has passed through from source to yours, with timestamps on each.

1346854 2013-06-25 21:44:00 Thanks Fred I will check again when I get back to my computer.
I doubt this info is available on a web client.
DeSade (984)
1346855 2013-06-25 21:47:00 Should be.
All the ones I've seen had a "raw view" or "show headers" button somewhere.
fred_fish (15241)
1346856 2013-06-25 21:52:00 Doesn't matter anyway I have already filed those emails and the web client only sees the inbox :( DeSade (984)
1346857 2013-06-26 02:29:00 I'm a Microsoft Cloud Partner so could set you up with Exchange Online @ $5.10 per month each separate email address.
Works great with Outlook 2007 or newer and smartphones / tablets and also has a nice Outlook Web App that you can access from any machine with internet access.
Also a nice 25GB of email storage for each account.

These are the relevant lines.
You can see it was delivered to mighty-ape's outgoing server on the 19th but not successfully transmitted to your server until the 24th.
Something funny is going on, but without grepping your server logs for the mightyape ip not much more can be said.
The fact that the mightyape server has an unroutable host name, no rdns and an invalid helo may be contributing factors.

1346860 2013-06-26 07:28:00 I removed all email addresses from the above would that account for the unroutable stuff?

I have not received the daily email today and I have the logging turned on as you advised so when that email arrives I will post the log here.
Can you tell me how to retrieve that log please?
