| 1322071 | 2013-01-09 04:40:00 | Someone that had that much written about them must of lived and been pretty important, probably some sort of healer. However the son of a god, that is the biggest load of garbage ever, and that goes double for the god...... |

| 1322072 | 2013-01-09 04:55:00 | I don't believe in gods, any of them. I believe Jesus existed, too many accounts of that to deny. I like most of his teachings, they would, if EVERYONE applied them, make the world a better place. (Although he was not the first, or last to say these things) Human nature dictates otherwise though. Too much self interest and ignorance. Re-incarnation? I doubt it. |

However the son of a god, that is the biggest load of garbage ever, and that goes double for the god...... + 1 FWIW My personal view is yes, the man existed. Yes, he was a brilliant teacher. The Quran tells us of his post-"resurrection" trips as a teacher throughout the middle east and India, so in that context there was life after death. Much of the written teachings were couched in terms people could readily identify with in an essentially patriarchal society, and are allegorical. The message of being a "son of god" I believe was intended to get across the message we are all sons of the god within us. (Excepting certain members of this forum, of course) :devil Life after death? Great if one is a admirer of creatures porcine. Far fetched, but sci-fi often explores the concept of parallel universes. Personally I'm out on this one. |

| 1322076 | 2013-01-09 06:56:00 | I was incarnated a long time ago as an iceberg, but the summer holiday job put the kibosh on that one, so I got reincarnated a few times to help pass the millenniums. Obviously those who have not experienced it find this hard to believe, but let them bear in mind that as absolute newbies in this system, their opinions are a bit lacking in the experience department. (One should not ask pre-schoolers for opinions on University life either.) This continual cycle has many branches; if a politician is amazingly good in their field they might even be advanced as far as being a pond snail in their next incarnation. Naturally such giant upward leaps are extremely rare, the advent of the first pyramids appears to have stopped progress in this manner. |

Too much self interest and ignorance. Re-incarnation? I doubt it. I believe there was a man called Jesus, there still are if you look to Spain and some South American countries. The 10 commandments should be read for what they are, guidelines from the church to make life better (pity so many religions don't actually take them on board) Is there a God? I have seen no proof so therefore I don't think there is Was Jesus the son of God? refer above, there is no God so how can he be? Reincarnation, yet more ways to separate the gullible (believers) from there cash Is the bible a historical document? How can it be it's like Chinese whispers. Did Jesus meet Paul on the road to Damascus? It might have been Bob on the riverbank of the Waikato Should the bible be read as a history? No more a work of fiction based an a very few minor real incidents Did Jesus do miracles? More likely an illusion similar to illusionists today |
