| 1346395 | 2013-06-19 23:55:00 | Hi, after úpgrading' to a radeon HD 7870 fromm a nvidia card i no longer get sound to my sony tv (videos ok). Nothing except the card has changed. The old card worked excelent. The Radeon catalyst control ctr says the sony doesn't support sound. Any ideas how to change this? I'm running win7 pro. Ta for any help | kiwibits (5574) | ||
| 1346396 | 2013-06-20 00:02:00 | a few things to try.. the new vid card also needs its own sound drivers for the HDMI audio passthrough, they may not be installed/enabled etc .Usually the vid cards sound driver is installed at the same time though. Change the default audio device to the sound drivers used by the vid card Uninstall & try again, with the latest driver from ATI. Uninstall the old NV vid drivers & associated sound driver Disable onboard sound in the bios settings |
