1476767 2021-04-26 02:58:00 Apparently he got pneumonia, no symptoms really except he got more wobbly and fell a few times.

So suddenly we needed ambulance, his breathing went, he is still in hospital, through my birthday and Anzac and has so far hung in there, god knows how.
He kept thinking he needed to fix A)The phone exchange and B)Plumbing and kept trying to get up ad get us to help and fetch tools and stuff. Thought nurses were useless cause they didn't bring tools and were ignoring it all. Floods everywhere, phs and net down he said.

The second they took him off the oxy (to move him or whatever) his level would crash, severely, as in the 60s....

They have stopped everything now, treatment, insulin, just sedated and on morphine.
He's not coming back. Not responsive now. For the last couple of days. And blue.

1476769 2021-04-26 05:28:00 Graham finally left the world aged 72 , after a life with many health issues. He survived them (up till now anyway) despite the efforts of the medical industry whom he concluded were more likely to kill him. They finally did.

He went to work for NZPost/Telecom before even leaving school until he was made redundant, at which point he realised he enjoyed plumbing far more, if he liked the customer and could be bothered that day.

He liked beer, gardening, fixing things , messing about in the shed and telling long rambling stories - taking forever to get to the point .

He leaves his wife ; his son ; his favourite grand-daughter; and a lot of things in the shed, some of which he couldn’t identify but were nonetheless apparently extremely important.

There isn’t a service. He expects people to have a beer, and do something useful instead.
