| 174558 | 2003-09-11 07:25:00 | I just got a new mobo made by microstar international with a via kt400a north bridge & via vt8325 chip. the cpu is athlon xp 2500 with 512mb pc2700 ddr ram. my problem is that when i go install win xp some od the files need for setup can't be copied and as a result the installation is wrecked. Other than that the mobo has no problems. |

| 174561 | 2003-09-11 10:56:00 | OK... Motherboards CAN be faulty. Are you asking the PressF1 people to declare it's a fault so you can return and get the money back? You say you have another Motherboard and you don't have the same fault. Why not use the Motherboard where you don't get a fault? This one looks like a BIOS problem to me but I need more info. A 2500+ CPU should run with the FSB at 166. If the RAM you have runs on a different Motherboard then it probably isn't a RAM problem. I will re-read your posts. Tell us what Motherboard you are having trouble with Make and model and tell us what Motherboard ( make and model) is working. |
