| 174277 | 2003-09-10 02:01:00 | hi again..... to those of u that offered suggestions on getting my scanner going going ..thanx...i ended up reformatting...now it's going perfectly again :) BUT now i am having probs signing into hotmail and messenger... i sign in and hit enter and the sign in box turns yellow...then the hotmail page cannot be displayed.... nor can help.... nor any of the ways u can look for help...mainly coz they all take u back to the sign in page...any ideas anyone?? i can get into any other site on the net with no probs am running IE5.5...windows98...192megs RAM.... |

| 174280 | 2003-09-10 04:21:00 | I think it may be just one of those periodical (perhaps 'perennial' is more appropriate ;) ) problems Hotmail/MSN have. I tried the Hotmail site just now and it wouldn't even load, just a "This page cannot be displayed" error message came up. I tried MSN via the Trillian program and it says I'm logged on OK there, although it keeps telling me it needs and upgrade :( Wait a couple of hours or tomorrow and it might be OK again. It's a free service after all, so we can't expect too much. |

| 174282 | 2003-09-10 09:42:00 | i fixed this prob :)) had to rename some files .... reinstall IE... my cipher strength was at 0-bits !! the files i had to rename were schannel.dll.......Rsabase.dll.....rsaenh.dll....t hese all had to have the extension .old these files r in drive:\windows\system after i reinstalled IE my cipher strength was up at 128-bit and now everything is fine. thanx to Rod J and to tommy for ur input:) |
