| 174819 | 2003-09-12 22:30:00 | I have no laptop at moment seems like took lightning strike. Our phones went out took strike this week, curses. Only thing not working is trying to go on line so prob modem? Took to Acer they have 1 tech who has 30 laptops to fix at moment yes we do live in NZ. If time drags on does anyone know are reliable company to look at it in Auckland. I guess parts would come from Acer and maybe it would null warranty so guess I wait. | bruciebear (1478) | ||
| 174820 | 2003-09-13 01:43:00 | will ACEr repair it for free . and if the laptop is covered by insurance, you may consider a claim(worth the excess). we have seen cases before that power surges/lightning have killed/compromised pcs. |
