| 174665 | 2003-09-11 22:49:00 | I have down loaded spybot from the latest CD from PC world, because you advise that using to spyware programmes is ideal. When I try to use it it seems to cease operation about halfway through. No matter how long you leave it it doesn't finish. You cannot then just close the programme but have to force it to close by using Control Alt Del. I am using windows 98 SE.Has anyone else noticed this problem? Is it associated with the disc? Should I down load the programme from the supplier over the net? | Bumfluff (3523) | ||
| 174666 | 2003-09-11 22:59:00 | I remember reading about this issue. There is a fix for it available via Spybot's update facility. Click on the "Search for updates" and install all updates. See whether this helps. | Jen C (20) | ||
| 174667 | 2003-09-12 03:56:00 | I loaded the version of Spybot off the latest PCW CD and it ran ok. It may have some problems with individual setups. However, when I looked on the Spybot site there was a later version, so I downloaded and installed that. It runs ok too. The first run found several things Adaware hadnt, so it seems worthwhile having. | Terry Porritt (14) | ||
