| 175131 | 2003-09-15 09:33:00 | Seems from a quick search in google that it can be caused by acpi , which is the power management. Some report turning off in BIOS worked, others that in Windows power management they turned off hibernate. Still it is puzzling why it should suddenly start when upgrading like you have. Do you still have the old RAM? Try just one stick in place only and see if it freezes. Let me see.....where's that brick wall :D |

| 175133 | 2003-09-19 03:05:00 | Thanks You Guys...for your input and eventual cure, was crazy episode with conflicting drives and xp drivers. Also discd. that mother board and bios was faulty. Anyways local hacker fixed problem so far - no freeze since reloading xp. Been an hour so far! Really appreciate your help, if your papamoa look me up - I'm the one with the bruised forehead and cracked monitor. Cheers. Jussy! |
