| 175616 | 2003-09-16 01:51:00 | Hello all. We need a simple way to lock kids out of settings and control panel. We are running XP PRo and kids log on as a user with limited account. Where can I go as administrator to lock them, the little darlings, out of problem areas... Any advice gratefully received Thanks Paul |

Download WinGuard Pro, and when installed you'll get the option of the free 15 day trial, or the free edition. The Free edition should do all you need! I also realise that download link I provided may be out of date, so just go to the home-page and get it from there! Cheers Chill. |

Under the group membership tab change them to a restricted user. This will prevent them from installing programs and changing system settings but will still let them save docs e.t.c. Hope this helps |
