175622 2003-09-16 00:27:00 Apparently NET4U has finally finished and they are now posting customers credit card details on the net, I was phoned and warned of this about 10 minutes ago, told to cancel my credit card. Not sure of details yet, so if you had dealings with these *******s may pay to secure your card, amazon (3976)
175623 2003-09-16 01:29:00 looks like their site is still up. are you sure its not just yet another bullshit rumor ?? btw if they did start posting details i'm sure they would be liable under the privacy act. tweak'e (174)
175624 2003-09-16 05:41:00 Sounds a bit dodgy to me, however I wouldn't touch Net4U with a barge pole. For those of you not familiar with them, they were stealing bandwidth from other ISP's a while ago.

See www.computerworld.co.nz for more info.

Oh you could've gone out and bought yourself a new computer & tv off the net, and you would have had adequate proof someone stole the card number hence you wouldn't be liable for paying for anything.

175630 2003-09-17 01:36:00 There is also a possibility that the person behind it all can't be held for any losses either due to his age. -=JM=- (16)

Don't think you could get away with that unless you're getting it shipped to some place other than your own house.
