| 175600 | 2003-09-15 23:20:00 | No.. Its not my PC.. I'm helping a friend fix his Win2K machine. It runs like a dog, although being a Celeron 733 with 128MB RAM should be sweet in Win2K. It only started doing it yesterday, no idea why. I downloaded the AVG update file (Sept 1st) and burnt it.. installed it on his machine (After much hassle attempting to get into My Computer.. Explorer would hang etc) and ran the scan, only nothing came up. Im thinking Spyware next... but dont think that it'd have that much of an efect on his PC. There's almost nothing running in the systray, certainly nothing he's not been running for the last month or two. Have I missed some posts on here perhaps that might help? We've been updating with patches for the MS Blaster, as well as that patch that CYaBro pointed out. Running ZoneAlarm and AVG... I think that's it? Any ideas? It was very sudden, just happened yesterday outa the blue. Cheers Chill. |
