Or green cabinets can be cable termination boxes, where the multi-paired cable comes out of the ground to be distributed elsewhere. They haven't got them that small that the fit in a cabinet beside the road yet. They are still inside Telecom buildings. |

| 175445 | 2003-09-15 08:46:00 | MUX boxes, PCM boxes can be "small green cabinets" They are not Exchanges (think airconditioning, backup power supplies for exchanges, hard to fit in a green box) If you are really unlucky they have installed a 0+2 pair gaining system. That will limit your connect speed to around 28 kb/s. I think they would use a "green box" for this equipment... |
