| 175403 | 2003-09-15 19:21:00 | I don't think so, Neptune. As an accountant by trade in the dim, dark, past, I can tell you that this is the classic scenario. PC vendors are often funded by growth, and when their growth stops or negative growth occurs, they can't finance support out of sales. In the PC Company case, they were already pretty tightly geared if they required payment for the machine weeks before it arrived. And I never understood why it cost money to have the machine avaiable to be picked up from their store. It never felt right. As for the $3,000 PC thing, you can still get a PC for $5000 if you want enough memory, grunt, etc. robo. |

| 175404 | 2003-09-16 01:30:00 | I hope people paid by credit card for thier PCs because in a recievership the customer who didnt is way back down the list when payouts occur | kiwibeat (304) | ||
| 175405 | 2003-09-16 01:46:00 | I've heard people talk of ways to pay themselves when they go into receivership, although if people find out, it completely backfires on them. Hopefully they are not like this. | Kame (312) | ||
