| 175524 | 2003-09-15 11:40:00 | I knew that would get your attention! But I actually need to find women who DON'T drive - in particular prominent women. I am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction to find non-drivers. Unfortunately I only have three weeks to find at least two women and write the article, but I am stumped as to where to look. It's not like you can type in "women who don't drive" on Google! Georgina Beyer would have been a perfect example but she now has her driving licence. I've never used chat rooms and wouldn't know where to start, but is this where I should be looking? Any pointers would be appreciated. | write-click (2248) | ||

But I actually > need to find women who DON'T drive - Hi write-click, If you had said you need to find women who CAN'T drive,we could all give you enough names to fill Mikes book!;-)(oops,look out for the flames!) If you live outside one of the main city centres it may be hard to find "promenent" people especially if you want to interview them?but why not start with your local Councillors or ask the Mayor if his partner drives?I mean doesn't drive! Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

But I agree with some of your comments - there are many women out there who shouldn't drive. I think the main problem is many of them do so little driving - just to the shops and back or to drop the kids off at school - so they aren't very experienced on the motorways or the open road. They were probably taught by the ones you see on tv who manage to look at their passengers while driving miles along the road! I've managed to get two prominent women and one of them has suggested a few more, so I'm well on my way, thanks for all your 'help'! |
