175763 2003-09-16 10:24:00 I have had a cdburner fitted in my puter, Atapi CDRW, and it come with Nero 5.5.10.20 software, but it is only the express version. No, it doesn't change back to a full version. I bought this from a reputable company, and they also installed it. Is there anyway I can get the full version, or is that just extra dollars. TIA supergran (108)
175764 2003-09-16 10:30:00 Many burners came bundled with only the "Express" version.
Thats what you paid for I guess.

Nero 5 has ceased to be available I believe, its Nero 6 now.

175766 2003-09-16 11:01:00 You can still get 5.5.x from retailers at a price of course.

Nero 6 Ultra is brilliant.. more stable, uses less resource in my experience on two PCs...
and its just great!

You can still do a lot with just the Nero Express, but you're better off looking for other software (Free even online) for long-term use if you plan to do anything other than file-burning/backups IMHO!

Cheers

175770 2003-09-17 01:37:00 I just bought a CDRW about 2 weeks ago, came with Nero 5.5 full OEM version.

You can download Nero from www.nero.com, and possibly be able to get a free update.

175771 2003-09-17 08:37:00 Can anyone tell me the difference between Express and full version? If it is worth changing I will email Kiwibeat, or check my old netguide cd's cos I think there might of been a cd burner software on that. supergran (108)
175772 2003-09-17 09:41:00 just to add the last ver of nero5.5 is 5.5.10.50....its a free update.

difference between them........i'm not to sure but basicly its just a simplier easy to use interface. not sure on what features are disabled. i'm sure nero's website will say.
