| 176060 | 2003-09-17 22:50:00 | i made a mistake of purchasing a dynalink internal modem a couple of years ago. Now i want to replace it with something that is NOT a crappy winmodem. anyone got any ideas? i saw a US robotics modem and wonder if they are any good? |

| 176061 | 2003-09-17 22:58:00 | US robotics make some good modem chips but then again so do dynalink generally, if you want a good one make sure its a hardware modem rather than software, as in it has its own processor not using your main processor. You could also try C Net ones. |

| 176065 | 2003-09-17 23:34:00 | If you want an internal hardware modem you will need an available ISA slot. PCI modems are win/software or controllerless modems. Serial is your best bet but be prepared to pay for a good one, USR, Dynalink, Dlink. Cheers Murray P |
