| 176558 | 2003-09-20 05:06:00 | What on earth is an RPC Server?Apparently I haven't got one as when I try to download some things (at the moment it's firewalls) I keep getting the message:- "setup failed tolaunch installation engine: The RPC Server is unavailable " How do I fix this? |

Look here (www.macromedia.com) for a similar problem (but related to installing another software package) The solution may apply to you, just ignore the reference to Coldfusion and consider the program you may have recently installed in its place. It appears it can happen during an install that requires a reboot. |
