176491 2003-09-19 19:02:00 I am in wellington and will have some time to browse. Wondered if anyone knew where I should go if I want to browse comic/collectable shops. Have found PulsarMax in St James mall and the one near there off a pedestrian area (not sure if it is manners mall).
Look out for me at Armageddon if you are in Wellington, I'll be hanging around there a bit.

176494 2003-09-20 01:56:00 Wish I'd kept all the Dandy, Beano, Wizard, Hotspur comics from when I was a ladduring and after "the war".

Anyone remember Wilson the wonder athlete, 128 years old, lived in a cave, drank a potion to keep himself young, who could run a 4 minute mile years before Roger Bannister was even born?

176495 2003-09-20 08:04:00 Wilson the wonder athlete first appeared in the Wizard in 1943 Wilson an all-round wonder athlete who was at least 200-years- old. Wore a strange one-piece black underwear outfit. Lived on nuts and berries on the moors. Died on WWII in his Fairey Battle plane. Also dabbled in cricket in one series, in which he captained a victorious English team in the Ashes, skittling the Aussies with his super fast bowling.
My Dad had some comics with him in it
