176948 2003-09-22 04:36:00 Hey

I'm planning to buy a new graphics card, caues my current Geforce2 MX 400 is a bit old and is not able to perform well on my newest games on high reasonably high resolutions, I always put resolution to 1024 by 768 or one higher.

I'm want to but a Ti4200 or 4400 with 128mb ddr memory.
My CPU is Athlon 1800+ Xp, I have a 120GB HDD and 512 DDR Ram.

My main worry is that would both of these cards be too fast for my CPU?
Also i think my motherboardo only support 2x, so would i have to get a new motherboard as well?

Please give your advice
THankx

176951 2003-09-23 03:36:00 If you have have a XP 1800 cpu your M/board must be very unusual not to support 4x AGP my PC has a 1.2 Thunder bird and a Abit M/board KT7 model and it supports 4x AGP and its technology is a lot older than your setup about 2years old kiwibeat (304)
