| 176940 | 2003-09-22 04:12:00 | Do you have the drive partitioned at all? Do you have data on the drive that you haven't backed up? If there is nothing on the drive you want to save you could just wipe it by just booting from a DOS floppy disk and use Fdisk and then Format to do this. | 176941 | 2003-09-22 05:02:00 | Depending on the version of FDISK you have, it might not handle removing an non-MS partition. :D All is not lost, however. You could make a Mandrake bootdisk, and use its fdisk the disk, and just remove all partitions. If that doesn't make it acceptable to MS, there is an IBM free programme called zap.exe which will erase the first couple of tracks, so the disk looks like a new one. The Search button (top of this page) will find it ... approximately link 12 on the second page wil give you the URL. (this post will probably make it link 13 :D) |
