| 176807 | 2003-09-21 10:42:00 | I used SiSoftware Sandra to test the CPU speed of a machine with AMD-K6 3D Processor (supposed to be 500 Mhz) and the result turned out to be very eratic - rannge from 160 Mhz - 2.6 Ghz! Everytime I refresh the test, a new reading emerges. Does it suggest that the CPU is having a problem? I do notice that the machine (running xp) is quite sluggish, compare to another machine having Pentium III 500 MHZ which has quite similar configuration. When I test the PIII machine with Sandra, the CPU speed is always constant at 501 Mhz. Cheers |
