I have been trying to install a C++ compiler,the instructions say that I need to add the install directory to my PATH. I am running Windows XP (Home edition) and have tried using the set PATH= at the DOS promt ant typing the existing path with the install directory added, but the system does not keep the changes and when I look at the PATH again it is back to the original. Would anyone be able to tell me hot to ammend the PATH so that the changes are saved, when using XP please?
