177582 2003-09-24 08:30:00 Gidday,

since paradise net starting using spam and anti-virus software I have been receiving so many 'intercept' emails with a message similar to the following:

"This message has been processed by paradise.net using Brightmail(r) Anti-Virus Technology powered by Symantec.

The file ehzliykx.exe was infected with the virus Worm.Automat.AHB and has been deleted because the file cannot be cleaned."

Any other paradise users getting a significant number of these type of emails??

Today I recieved around 50 of these messages. I used to get a few spam and other email messages coming thru each day but never up to 50 messages. Is it possible that I am recieving other paradise members virus intercept messages??

I have also been getting slower internet connections since paradise starting using the anti -spam/virus software, but this could also be related to telecom fixing a phone fault we had (although the line seems better than it ever has, so I would of thought the internet would be better?)

cheers
Nath

177586 2003-09-24 11:05:00 User history....your e-mail contacts plus the WWW you have visited....a few years ago I visited for curiosity a porn site and it took me years before I woke up to realize that was the reason i was getting disgusting e-mail....I DON'T SAY THIS THE Reason why you have so many virus e-mails stopped (and it is a good thing) that paradise and xtra are deleting such e-mail but it is a possibility.... olldaddy76 (2539)

177589 2003-09-25 00:37:00 The reason you might be getting so many infection notifications from your ISP is possible that someone else who has your email address is infected with one of the newer virus's and you are just one of many that the virus will be now trying to infect in turn ?

Go into Outlook Express or Outlook but the same idea would apply to other mail programs, create a Folder for example called Infection Notices for sake of something better and then create a rule that all mail that contains wording (what ever is in the subject line that Paradise sends you ) goes to that folder. While it still takes up time for downloading, at least they all get dumped in one folder rather than scattered through all the other mail.

Or, get Mailwasher and screen the waiting messages and delete stright from the server.
