177484 2003-09-24 06:33:00 No can do. Autoexec is used for DOS based operating systems like win9x
Windows XP is not DOS based, so doesn't have an autoexec.bat file. Is your JAVA install too old?

177486 2003-09-24 22:02:00 If you really need to put something in the autoexec.bat in winXP you will find it under %systemroot%\system32\autoexec.nt.

%systemroot% being your folder that winXP is in.

You can also find the config.sys file there called config.nt

Don't rename them!! They must be *.nt not *.bat!

Just open them in notepad to edit.

As stated before though these are only used for DOS programs.
