| 1347407 | 2013-06-29 00:22:00 | Hi, not really computers but F1 is a good place for advice. We have a place that is solar and wind power only with a 12 volt battery bank. I want to get a radio/ stereo and not sure if I should buy a 12 volt car stereo or a 230 volt stereo and run it though an inverter. I have a 200 watt inverter and a 1000 watt inverter but expect the 1000 watt inverter would have too much draw on the battery to be efficient. We use the radio a lot as we don't have a TV and play music quite a bit from MP3's Thanks, |

I have little faith in low-end inverters, both in terms of (electrical) economy of operation, and reliability. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
