| 1347192 | 2013-06-27 23:00:00 | Hi, Recently I have had a pop up telling me that I could speed up my operations by replugging the USB hub (Dick Smith version ) into a faster port on my tower.--it popped up in a Hoyles Card demo game as well as other activities. I cannot imagine that , instead of using a rear USB port in the back, to a port on the front of the tower would make that difference ( ie it is the same distance from the CPU as the other )--or is it? Any advice welcome Effie c |

You can get a usb 3.0 card for your comp if you wanted - not very expensive. Or it could be possible you already have usb 3.0 in the front usb ports |

| 1347194 | 2013-06-28 00:03:00 | You get the message when you plug a USB 2.0 device into a USB 1 port or a USB 3.0 device into a USB 1 or 2 port. It's just letting you know the device can go faster if it's plugged into the correct port type to match whatever standard it is. normally USB 3.0 plugs and sockets are blue and USB 1.0 and 2.0 are black. It's possible you have no USB 3.0 ports or only some on the back depending on your case and MB design. |
