1323464 2013-01-18 22:20:00 I will not start by laughing at all those that do not have one.:)

The question is, can we text from one, I see you can use as a phone.?

1323465 2013-01-18 23:13:00 Install this (play.google.com) on your Android phone and this (play.google.com tvdXNoaWtkdXR0YS50YWJsZXRzbXMiXQ..) on your N7.

It's not free (there's an initial trial period) but it works really well

1323466 2013-01-19 00:54:00 Johcar - using those apps, do you pay for the SMS messages via your phone account?

In other words, this is using your tablet as a proxy keyboard to compose/read SMS, but the SMS is actually sent via your phone? It isn't like Skype, which my daughter in Oz uses to send SMS messages? She sends an SMS via Skype and it comes up on my phone - she says this is cheaper than using her cellphone (or free, I can't remember now).

It says on N7 that it is incompatible?

1323468 2013-01-19 02:26:00 It says on N7 that it is incompatible? It's not incompatible with mine.... Are you sure you're installing the TabletSMS app on the N7 and not the DeskSMS (which goes on the phone)? johcar (6283)
1323469 2013-01-19 03:07:00 I will have another go., Says it is installing at mo, will see. Cicero (40)

The messages are synchronised to/visible on the tablet and phone. There is also the ability to read and send via a browser, so you don't need your tablet (so long as your phone is on)... johcar (6283)
1323471 2013-01-19 07:18:00 Thanks johcar - I understand. John H (8)

1323473 2013-01-20 03:25:00 How did you go Cicero?

Retrieving account status at the moment, no idea what that means.

There seems to be an endless supply of this kind of instruction and in the end it says it is all good and is loading.

Finally got it, the voice mail part is bad, so will use keyboard.

Thanks Jo, sorry not good at these things, too old I think.
