| 1323310 | 2013-01-17 11:21:00 | Penrose, where I worked for a long time, is a semi-dense business and industrial area with pockets of surburbia, and the main road - Great South Road (heading North) - converges to a intersection long known as "harp of erin" (street view) (goo.gl) at Greenlane. This connects to hillsborough (west) and ellerslie/mt wellington/panmure (east) - all with large populated shopping/cafe venues and numerous car yards. All those roads are extremely heavy with traffic, with large roundabouts connecting to the southern motorway intersecting with the south eastern motorway. South side would be Otahuhu. West is Onehunga. I'm guessing lessons maybe at mt wellington or panmure towards the quiet estuary side (Tamaki river) or between the southern motorway and surburbia Penrose road -a mild relatively quite area but with an incline. But then possibly otahuhu east or greenlane/te oranga - near the large cornwall park (http://www.cornwallpark.co.nz/) domain - or test drive through it to the summit. |
