Several members here who are anti gay still haven't come up with a valid reason why they hate gay people. Question for you prefect, being a employer would you sack one of your employees if you knew they were gay?I can answer that for ya. But then you're looking at the Adoption Law which will prob get Chill involved in this thread :P Wasn't saying they all did, wasn't saying most did, wasn't even saying any did :) Was just saying that would be the one thing that would worry me - if it was found that that didn't happen frequently (lets face it, there are always going to be a few, just like you're always going to get a few straight couples who push their kids to be straight) - I wouldn't have a problem with it. FWIW, I know four kids from same-sex parents who are at an age where they are able to speak to their sexual preferences, and all are decidedly heterosexual. <snip> Which is good :) - as long as that is the rule, and not the exception, I don't have a problem with gay marriage Was just stating my one concern, not saying 'This is what will happen'. edit - Iantech (#44) - very good point. I dont know about that. Look at the Hero Parade and Mardi Gras for example. If thats not pushing their homosexuality what is !!! If gays want to be treated as normal people, then its about time they stopped making a specticle of themselves and start acting like normal. If you want to be treated normal, act normal, if you want to be treated different, act different. It seems this people want to act different and be treated normal, and that dont work.	Iantech (16386)

People who are that way inclined, are already living together, and theres no problems apart from outdated views from those who dont like it. Just because its not legal right now isn't going to stop anyone, by making it legal theres not going to be a sudden influx of gay people causing crimes. Its the ones who dont like the idea that will be the ones who instigate troubles. Some customers I have have same sex relations, most are female/Female, and to tell you the truth they all couldn't be nicer people, they simply go about their day to day business just like every one else and you would never know. Then theres the people who say its fine for two females, but not Ok for two males -- those comments really show how narrow minded they really are.	wainuitech (129)

So let's ban Santa parades as pushing Christianity and commercialism too? There are dozens of parades for all sorts of things. If everyone else is allowed a parade for something why not gays?
