Nature? Meaning what?

I think not.

1323650 2013-01-20 19:12:00 Call me old fashioned but I think marriage is between a man and a woman.

Gays have civil unions, that's what they wanted.

1323651 2013-01-20 19:39:00 I think it should be criminalized again. In some countries it is the death penalty for male homosexual behaviour . I do not have a problem with female homosexuality at all but they should not be allowed to get married. How it could go from death penalty in some countries to legal in other amazes me, somewhere in the middle might be ok. prefect (6291)
1323652 2013-01-20 19:53:00 There's a study saying younger people are more likely to be in favour of same-sex marriage. And some of you are showing your age. ;) pcuser42 (130)
1323653 2013-01-20 20:01:00 Popular support for same-sex marriage has risen to 50% in the US, I wouldn't be surprised to see it higher in NZ. Zara Baxter (16260)
1323654 2013-01-20 20:04:00 Get with the year 2013 Prefect . I don't care what happened in Texas in the 1800s . And to suggest Females being allowed to be gay and Males is not only contradicting but down right disgraceful .

Proven fact is that a high % of homophobics are actually gay themselves . . . just sayin . . .

How do you explain gay people that were raised by hetrosexual parent's

BK T . . . owned lol! Nuff said .

In regards to marrage - either way doesn't effect my life in the slightest! Only possibility would be if my sister and her CUP (Civil Union Partner) decide to change their CU to a Marrage at which time I'll be invited and I *will* attend, not because I agree with it but because I love my Sister and my Sister-in-law .

Which means that in the US 50% don't support gay marriage. Regardless of my personal beliefs, I'd like to see a binding national referendum on something this controversial, which would properly convey the belief of the people instead of a bunch of politicians trying to appear PC.

Surely politicians by definition have to appear politically correct? ;-)

It's more like 46% (or less) in the US don't support gay marriage, since there are some "don't knows/won't answer" and most polls have 53% as the support for gay marriage. In NZ it's 63% support/31% oppose according to the most recent poll I could find. That suggests it would pass at a referendum.

1323657 2013-01-20 20:36:00 The world's main religions - Christianity, Islam & Buddhism are all against same sex marriages. Why? They must have good reasons for what they are doing. bk T (215)
