There are hundreds of earthquakes every day without fracking. I'm not trying to force fracking on us. I'm just saying that it would be good if we got more oil and gas from New Zealand. The fact that there are oil wells in the middle of LA (which of course I did not know) shows how environmentally friendly they can be. |

Just don't make out that there are no adverse effects from the fossil fuel industries, as these effects are apparent to even the meanest intellect. Of course you could be a vested interest, in which case you should come clean and admit it. |

Far to often it all gets to be like a lot like Northern Ireland where fact has nothing to do with which side of the fence you sit and nothing is going to change your mind. Currently I have no problem with fracking it is actualy far more envionmentaly friendly than coal mining. I am quite prepared to change my mind given believable evidence but not based on myth and rumour and certainly not just because anyone just says I should. The air quality in Pennsylvania has risen since fracking took off as less coal is being used. The drillers in Montana are being irresponsible flaring all that gas, but might an over supply there. They should stick to farming dental floss. |

You have been sucked in just as those were sucked in about Global warming. Global warming got so bad they had to change its name to climate change! What does that mean? Personally I'd say that Fracking would be one of the least adverse things mankind is doing to the environment. Killing elephants for their tusks. Polluting rivers with effluent. Filling the seas with rubbish Nuclear power stations (and their ensuing waste, and their eventual decommissioning) These are much worse imho |
