the cheaper cases often have crappy power supplies , or none at all.
Budget in the cost of a good power supply .

I think we quite rightly assume its a cheap & nasty PSU as well. Cheap ass cases usually have even nastier Power supplies
I would be unwise to assume that he had a reasonable PSU , and this is something well worth mentioning.
