If, by Freeview, you mean TV1 and TV2 on the digital frequency then yes it does. On our Sony TVs remote controls there are buttons for both Teletext and Subtitles. For digital TV I access the captions for TV1/2/ via the either button but for digital TV3 I can only get them with the "Subtitle" button. Maybe that is why others have been unable to view them? |

I don't get a "list" when I press the subtitle button, I just get a message on the TV with "Subtitles: On/Off" and the captions just appear. It must work differently on other brands of TV. Now I understand why no one knew what I was talking about in my original post. :p |

| 1322849 | 2013-01-23 18:20:00 | TVNZ will simply change over to DVB subtitles when the time comes to drop the Teletext service. It's Prime TV that are slacking they don't seem to have any form of subtitles on any of their programming. |

If they do and the quality of captions drop then they will have a fight on their hands. It's Prime TV that are slacking they don't seem to have any form of subtitles on any of their programming. Would be good if they could fix that issue as well. |
