A mate of mine runs XP home edition and has suddenly found he can't send emails, he can receive them ok but they won't send . He asked me to post a message here to see if anyone had any answers....I haven't even had a look, so am only passing on what he told me, I suspect he's had a fiddle somewhere but he assures me he hasn't ! |

Any chance the SMTP server name has changed or is now incorrect in the config? As many clients store the send and receive as two separate addresses I think that is most likely if email comes in but doesn't go out.

I had a similar problem recently..contacted my ISP and although it gave them a mysterious headache as to why this was happening it also was mysteriously cured after talking to them. :) |
