177795 2003-09-25 02:23:00 My computer is able to start up normally ....at first. but when it reaches the "windows 95 screen/logo (the startup screen)" it starts to load for a while, then it just freezes completely.
the only way i can get into windows is thru safe mode.

my pc has:
*windows 95
*36 megs of ram
*300 mhz
*4 GB hard drive

i also have another pc with win98.

177796 2003-09-25 02:29:00 Go to the PC with Win98 on it and find a file called msconfig.exe and copy it to a floppy disk.
Boot the Win95 PC into Safe mode and put the disk in the drive and copy msconfig to the desktop and then run it.
On the general tab select Selective Startup and uncheck Startup Items.
Reboot the Win95 PC and see what happens.
If still won't boot, go back into Safe mode and uncheck another option and so on until the PC boots in normal mode.

Let us know how you get on.
