| 178010 | 2003-09-27 11:00:00 | I use trillian, just do a google search. Its compatable with the MSN server and several others, like yahoo and IRQ. Plus you can open multiple accounts on the same server, like 5 or 6 msn accounts at once or msn and ICQ, or whatever you call it. Its wonderful. Oh, and msn is tripe. You can successfully acheive this if you can setup some form of port fowarding within your Network. I am working on a MSN Messenger Clone project, the protocol has some have come to coin it is very simple. I am surprised that Microsoft is stopping older versions from using it, it seems that they like to control people. This is fine, if you really care - you'll write your own version. |

| 178014 | 2003-09-27 22:20:00 | MS have pull out any version that is before 5.0 is because i think they have security problem over that.. in the past, if i login using 4.6, i will automatically get a message and tell us to install this patch in order to prevent the security problem.... but i guess, maybe they have found out that large amount of people didn't installed, so they try to encourage u to get a newer verion that got more function.... jacky so this is y they pull the plug on 4.6 |

| 178015 | 2003-09-28 10:34:00 | There's a patch out, I think its called the PolyGamy or something. That will let you open 2x MSN Messenger's at the same time on the same PC! I downloaded it at the CyberCafe on one of the boss's PC's when I downloaded the MSN 6.1 .msi file. Google for: MSN 6.1 Download follow your nose.. ;-) |
