2003-09-26 01:09:00 | Paradise's 24/7 Helpdesk support... Is emailing them and receiving and autoresponder saying that it could take up to 4 working days before you get an answer so if it's urgent call them. Is when calling them after 10pm to get an answering machine that tells you to call back between 7am-9pm to sort your problems out. So what is up with this? Why does their website still suggest the idea that they are 24/7 when after a certain time you are listening to their 14/7 answering machine? I'm sorry about this paradise, but you made me realise how stupid ISPs can be. You have now lost me as one of your lied to customers, and I have already emailed all my clients and they will decide from there on if you are still worth staying with, as I even suggested that if I have to fix their internet connection and they're with paradise, they can expect delay, if I can't get support from an ISP of my clients anytime at anywhere, then you stuff up my on-call service to my clients and I rather not be put in that situation anymore, you know how embarassing it is to tell people you offer 24/7 support, which is a beneficial in all eyes and not just the people who go around fixing their internet problems. I can't even believe I continued to support your good service but slack customer support. I should have known from the start when I signed up on Jetstart where I received a letter that I considered was a promised made on your behalf that you would get someone to call me to help set up my internet connection, that day never came, nor did the day that you started deducting my ISP fees without telling me I could connect to the internet. I am hoping others will read this, and see what service you really give, even if you provide exceptional internet speeds, that's not going to cut it by dropping your support. One angry ex-paradise customer. Cheers, KK P.S. Why does someone always make my Fridays feel like S!@#$T

2003-09-26 04:39:00 | I have rung and receive very good service, as have relatives with non isp PC problems, and Paradise sorted them out too . . . after normal business hours, but obviously before 10pm . Sounds to me like your Tech support to your clients rely on others providing the answers . Maybe the thing to do would be to outline the hours to your clients when they can get ISP support rather than downgrading the quality of the service provided by Paradise . I personally think that Paradise's helpdesk team is good, they certainly helped me when trying to get Jetstream set up, and Telecom couldn't have been less helpful at that time . Everyone will have their own tales of good or bad service, unfortunately the bad service stories spread quicker, hence my post . J :D

2003-09-26 05:23:00 | Personally I believe Paradise provide a very good service. I have never had any problems or complaints with their service since the signing up with them over 18 months ago. As far as I'm concerned, they are all good. > .........thank you, I will avoid paradise like the > plague... Mike thats a rather rash statement to make! :D

I sent through an e-mail what was going on and suggested that if they were having problems then an e-mail to their customers might not go astray and I am still waiting. The problem persists. F1 loading sucks and usually have to refresh 2-3 times just to get a page up. Their own e-mail web page also suffers as does getting mail through the pop3 server. Too overloaded me thinks but they are doing anything about it. |

2003-09-26 08:52:00 | Hey Kame if you have a problem you can always come to PF1 & someones usually here 24/7 :p On a more serious note though, The few times I have tried to get through to Paradise helpdesk I have ended up hanging up after getting the usual Blah Blah Blah message & being put on hold for half an hour plus! In the good old days the help desk used to be quite good until they got gobbled up by Saturn-Telstra-Clear machine. :-( Just out of curiousity is Xtra's helpdesk any better? Cheers Steve PS: Ive stuck with telstra as they are the only company that offer a triple package deal EG:Phone,TV & high speed internet

2003-09-26 09:28:00 | May be a firewall if one was running but I dont think so otherwise it would do the same every single time. Still blame Paradise as accessing the web sites from work goes fine.
