177770 2003-09-24 23:44:00 I have a D-Link DSL-200 USB modem & a Dick Smith XH1137 PCI modem installed together.
If I plug in the D-Link I get the massage "there is insufficient band width on the controller". If I ignore this, it works OK.
Both modems work well, the XH1137 has less latency (less time lost between files) but both seem to be normal.

Any idea what the Bandwidth grumble is about?

177771 2003-09-24 23:55:00 sounds like to many things running of one usb controoler. i think you can adjust how much bandwith gets assigned to things in system proerties. tweak'e (174)
177772 2003-09-24 23:56:00 The "insufficient bandwidth" message is coming from your USB controller. If you have other USB devices plugged into your computer they take up a certain amount of the controller's resources, and plugging in your USB modem may tip the controller over the edge resource-wise. xmojo1 (4630)
