I recently installed a pci graphics card in my kids computer, to make their game go better, because it only had an onboard graphics. I didn't install the driver first and just put the card in the pci slot before turning the computer on. When I did, it was not going properly, it couldn't detect a vXd something, can't remember the whole message and told me to fix it and press enter and it goes to switch off is safe on the screen.

so i took the card out and tried it back as it was and turned it on and it went to the same thing. I haven't taken the current lead on board off also (onboard graphics lead). Can I do anything from here since I realize after reading the forums i should have disabled onboard graphics.

can i do anything in the bios, or just simply take the lead out from onboard which connects to the monitor.

Help!!

That should have read, Try dissabeling the integrated graphics in 'Device Manager'.
