2003-09-27 11:59:00 | I reckon ramming a screwdriver thru it would do an excellent job of disabling it. | metla (154) | |
2003-09-27 12:00:00 | I have tried doing as you say before, mike, but it doesn't work. Windows really wants to use the SiS and even when the SiS is removed, the GeForce doesn't work properly, when it tries to start a graphical environment (desktop) it freezes half a second after it starts. | smashedlittlebugger (4397) | |
2003-09-27 12:02:00 | Uh,i just downloaded the manual, and providing i got the correct one,...then your mobo doest have a agp slot? So this is a pci g4 yu have then?

2003-09-27 12:03:00 | mind you, chips are the second hardest thing known to man (contrary to popular belief, diamonds come in 3rd). The hardest think known to man is a Pentium 100mhz. I tried making one into a keychain but I couldn't drill through any part of it, in the end I destroyed it with a butane torch. (this is kinda off topic). | smashedlittlebugger (4397) | |
2003-09-27 12:04:00 | thats correct metla. | smashedlittlebugger (4397) | |
2003-09-27 12:10:00 | There is no option to disable the SiS through my BIOS, the closest it comes is being able to select which one is primary. | smashedlittlebugger (4397) | |
2003-09-27 12:13:00 | Yeah, reading thru your manual doesnt look like it gives a lot of options. Primary Graphics Adapter This item indicates if the primary graphics adapter uses the PCI or the AGP bus. The default PCI setting still lets the onboard display work and allows the use of a second display card installed in a PCI slot. So all you can do in there is set the pci primary.

2003-09-27 12:32:00 | Thats why I need an application to change things so the GeForce is always used. Settings won't do the trick. | smashedlittlebugger (4397) | |
2003-09-27 14:22:00 | well,.....I would return the card, and ask them to get you a nforce2 motherboard with intergrated g4mx video,It will got a pooload faster then your current set up even if you can get it going. Of course, that means extra money,id guess 180 for a micro nforce2 board.
